This is the first model of the USS Defiant that was released in 1:1000 scale.

The kit is cast in light blue resin that doesn’t appear to have any voids or flash. Overall it is an excellent cast with lots of detailing. The kit has a total of four parts – main hull, bow section, and two warp nacelles. Waterslide decals are included, with markings for the Defiant as an “experimental” ship, as the designation is NX-74205 rather than the standard NCC prefix on other Starfleet ships. A small sheet of self-adhesive red tape is also included for cutting into the thin red stripes that go around the warp nacelles.

The completed kit is about 4.5 inches long.
