Another excellent kit from Gizmotron. As with his D-4, the Transport has very little flash and crisp, clear details. This design has appeared on Deep Space Nine as a Cardassian transport, and with some modifications a Klingon Transport as well. The painting instructions also list a NEKRIT color guide as well but I don’t recall seeing that Ep.

The kit comes in 20 pieces: primary hull, engines, Forward Hull, main body and cargo modules.

The kit comes in a bag with a cover flap depicting two painting options and decal placement.

For the price (ok I really shouldn't even add that qualifier) this is one of the most detailed and fun to build kits I've put together. Simply fitting all of the little containers onto the hull was, in my opinion, something that is overlooked in this scale: parts. I love fitting parts onto models, and making sure all the pieces were in line made me feel like I was maneuvering them in drydock. Ok maybe just a little.

I'd give this kit a 4.5/5 stars, for a couple reasons. First, the accuracy isn't quite right, but I can't complain due to the level of detail that's there. My real reason is that the warp nacelles are missing to make it the Klingon freighter, which is really what I bought it for. Still, a fun and detailed build that cleans up easily and builds quickly.

4.5/5
