This ship appeared in the 2009 Star Trek movie and is only visible for a short while. It appears in the dock sequence and the scenes leading up to the point when the Federation ships leave to attempt the rescue at Vulcan.

This ship is seen from astern, and when I saw it, I thought that the ship had four separate warp nacelles. This kit clarifies that it only has two warp nacelles (the upper two sections) and two shuttlebays (the lower sections). A photon torpedo launcher is mounted on a flying bridge between the upper two nacelles.

The kit is crisply cast in light gray resin, and is of the quality normally seen on Gizmotron kits. Markings are included for the USS Hood, NCC-1734.

The completed kit looks to be about 3.5 inches wide and 6 inches long.
